May It Rain In The Northwest US: I read the Northwest US is pretty parched and the need for water is critical. Lets hope storm clouds gather and raindrops fall on the forest, mountains, deserts, and plains of the Northwest. They need it with water needs being so great and all.

I hate to see precious forest go up in flames as has happened quite a lot these past few years. They need heavy rains in the summer and heavy snowfall in the winter for the next year or two to make up the very large deficits in precipitation. May Mother Nature quench the thirst of a parched land.

KHypermedia: I on occasion like to post information about a product based on my experience with the product and such is the case with KHypermedia.

KHypermedia CD-R disc (blue medium) sold at OfficeMax go bad after approximately four months. Several discs that had recorded information on it from four months ago have gone bad. I recorded some mp3 and wma files about four months ago and already some of the data on the disc is corrupted and irretrievable. This fact indicates that other types of data stored on these disc may also be corrupted after the short period of four months. Blue medium disc were said to be able to last up to 100 years but evidently this is definitely not the case for KHypermedia CD-Rs.

I brought this brand because there were some fantastic sales on 50 and 100 packs. The 50 pack I purchased contained about ten CD-Rs that were unusable right out of the package. This is above the average. The amount of unusable disc that are usually found in a pack of fifty is between two and five (which is still too many but who wants to take a whole pack back to the store due to two to five disc).
