I really have nothing in particular to write about so I might as well comment on what I am doing now. I’m listening to mp3 and wma music files on my computer.

I started with Sheena Easton singing For Your Eyes Only. I like this song. It was a theme song to a James Bond movie of the very same name. Besides the double entranda the song’s lyrics and musical arrangement is good also. I downloaded the lyrics to this song recently. It goes,

“For your eyes only, can see me through the night.
For your eyes only, I never need to hide.
You can see so much in me, so much in me that's new.
I never felt until I looked at you.

For your eyes only, only for you.
You'll see what no one else can see, and now I'm breaking free.
For your eyes only, only for you.
The love I know you need in me, the fantasy you've freed in me.
Only for you, only for you.

For your eyes only, the nights are never cold.
You really know me, that's all I need to know.
Maybe I'm an open book because I know you're mine,
But you won't need to read between the lines.

For your eyes only, only for you.
You see what no one else can see, and now I'm breaking free.
For your eyes only, only for you.
The passions that collide in me, the wild abandoned side of me.
Only for you, for your eyes only.”

Then I listened to “Sound of Silence” by Simon and Garfunkle.

I followed that with “Going Back To Cali” by LL Cool J. Excellent arrangement of music and rap for this one. Yes there are some rap gems out there.

I then listened to “Friday I’m In Love” by The Cure. I know this guy who loves The Cure and they did make a good number of good songs so I played another The Cure song called “Just Like Heaven”. I think if you listen to these two songs by The Cure you will get a feel for their sound.

I them went even farther back in time and listened to “Blinded By The Light” by the Manfred’s Mann Earth Band.

I then played “Nessum Dorma” sung by the three tenors.

Then came “Boy From New York City” as sung by The Manhattan Transfer.

Jumpin’ Jack Flash” as recorded by The Rolling Stones played next.

I thought of the group Aerosmith and played “Walk This Way” next.

“Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da” by the Beatles then played-“ha, ha, ha, ha ha ha ha”.

Yes suga, then Heatwave’s “Always And Forever” played. “There will always be sunshine when I look at you. Something I can’t explain, just the things that you do”.

“The Way We Were” by babs (Barbra Streisand) was next. “Scattered pictures of the smiles we left behind. Smiles we gave to one another for the way we were”.

“Beginning” by Chicago was next in line.

“Beginnings” was followed by “Fly” by Sugar Ray and ‘Super Cat’.

Hot Anastacia’s “Overdue Goodbye” then played.

“Sparks” by The Who then flew.

“Solutions” proposed by Bush then played.

A live recording of “Babylon” by David Gray then came up.

Alanis Morissette’s “You Learn” sounded off.

“Happiness In Slavery” by Nine Inch Nails then screamed into my headphones.

I then plunged way back in time again with Jr. Walker And The All Stars “Shotgun”

I moved up some in time and found “Crocodile Rock” by Elton John.

I then had this thirst for a “Milkshake” (ting!) by Kelis.

I felt like a little modern rock so I played The Fixx’s “One Thing Leads To Another”, “Der Kommissar” by After The Fire, and “Once In A Lifetime” by Talking Heads.

“Bullets” by Creed came next.

“I Could Never Take The Place Of Your Man” by Prince played next.

“My Gift To You” by Korn followed Prince. (A very excellent composition by Korn.)

I then wanted to hear a few movie scores so I played the “Theme From Superman” by John Williams and I followed that with the “Batman (theme)”.

I then had the urge for some classical and played Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s Concerto No.1, opus 23 (live recording-second movement), a live recording of Felix Mendelssohn’s Concerto for violin and orchestra, opus 64 (first movement), and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Jupiter (fourth movement).

All of the music mentioned in this post I consider very good. I recommend these songs to all.

My taste in music is eclectic. Many people have very narrow taste. May I suggest one keep an open mind and heart when it comes to music and maybe learn to enjoy many types of music.

I will eventually post a blog of the songs I like which has been done before on another site but this one will include the songs from those post plus some more. It will be a much longer list and will continually grow and be reposted as long as I blog.

I think its interesting to read about playlists and audio files. The way to get an audience is to describe something that is expensive-a restaurant meal, an airline flight, a hotel stay. Maybe somebody else has figured out a way to quantify a 3 minute song.
