I love living in a part of the United States where one can experience Mother Nature’s four seasons.
We are about four weeks into fall and this part of the earth is cooling off because of less sunlight hitting the land (days are getting shorter) due to mother earth leaning back (earth tilting away from the sun).
Leaves are turning orange and red and falling from the trees as less sap rises within the trees to nourish the leaves (although colors of leaves are less brilliant this season because of the unusually wet summer)
I appreciate the drop in daily temperatures for many reasons. I appreciate the cooling even for mundane reasons like it eliminates pest like mosquitoes for a few months, which is a luxury, not enjoyed by those who live in arid or tropical regions.
The changing of the seasons also illustrates the cycle of life through the foliage or greenery and flowers (not counting evergreens of course). One can witness the birth of life with the buds in spring, the path of life in the heat of summer, the twilight years of life in the fall and end of life in winter (broadly speaking of course).
Yes, all common states of Mother Nature are witnessed in this part of the country and I love experiencing all of the seasons (this may change as I age though---hmmm, I wonder).
