averjoe's Articles In Blogging

I’ve been blogging for a little over two years now at one site or another. It is a good time to make some observations about my blogging. First I’ve noticed that my blogs can become repetitive. No, I’m not taking about my writing style, which is pretty, for the most part, unedited and therefore sometime repetitive. Besides a very minimum level of spelling and grammar checking done by the word processor program I use to first write a blog these post are written on the fly. I found out b...

Well I think it is as good a time as any to comment on my experience blogging on joeuser.com and livejournal.com. Both of these sites have been pretty good. Overall I have had very few problems accessing and using these sites. Updating my blog is quicker at livejournal. There is this unusually long delay whenever I update my blog at joeuser. Most of the time there is nothing slowing down the process on my end and the update blog process is much faster at livejournal so most likely there i...

Boy, it has been a long time since I last posted to this blog but I have been posting a lot on my other blog. It comes down to time. I don’t have the time to write and post to both blogs and how things look right now I’ll probably have even less time in the future so it seems like I’ll be posting to my blogs in spurts. In other words sometime I’ll be posting daily to my blog while at other times I’ll not be posting for days, weeks or even months. Maybe I should consider blogging at...

The blog comment feature may not be such a good idea after all. I read a comment to one of my blog entries posted by a JeramyG. This person called me a foolish teenager (I’m no teenager) because of my ‘unsupported’ comments made about Microsoft. I have read some of JeramyG’s post and I have no intention of posting such formally written, and wordy entries to a blog page. To do so would be ridiculous in my view. If anyone comes across my blog and find that I have an opinion they can be su...

I figure I’d write again (have talked about this on other blog sites) about why I blog. After reading the latest post by the ‘right wing techie’ Brad Wardell that was about blogging I figured it is as good a time as any to mention why I blog. Let me say right away that I do not believe in over editing a blog posting. A blog should basically be a journal where one writes about the things one has done, seen, feel, and think. Do you get the picture? A blog should be more about you than anything...

Well I have had time to use the joeuser.com website for a few days and have made some observations. The first thing I noticed was how formal it is. It is so formal that it is really not like blog site at all. You must have a title and subtitle to your post. You must define your blog using the subject space. It is not optional that you do these things as at livejournal. Livejournal has an optional subject line that a person can use but doe not have to. The postings seem to be pretty formal. T...
