The Jews killed Christ. No, this is not just my opinion. It is the story told in the New Testament of the Bible. The Jewish priest leadership and other Jewish leaders were angry and alarmed at this upstart Jesus coming around and proclaiming that he was the savior they were all waiting for. They were alarmed because this heretic was also developing a following that attributed all sorts of miracles to Jesus. Jewish priest and leaders felt threatened by this self appointed savior who threaten...

Well, there is another major security flaw in Microsoft Windows NT, 2000, and XP. The flaw is very major. No operating system should have ever been allowed on the market with such a flaw. Leave it to Microsoft to have such a flaw in a product sold to the public (which belongs on an ash heap). I think we can now certify the Microsoft operating system as garbage. Luckily for me I’ll soon be moving on to Linux as the main system I use online. If you don’t move on to a different operating system ...

I figure I’d write again (have talked about this on other blog sites) about why I blog. After reading the latest post by the ‘right wing techie’ Brad Wardell that was about blogging I figured it is as good a time as any to mention why I blog. Let me say right away that I do not believe in over editing a blog posting. A blog should basically be a journal where one writes about the things one has done, seen, feel, and think. Do you get the picture? A blog should be more about you than anything...

I recently watched Whalerider on DVD. It is a good movie filled with symbolism. It is about a Maori girl named Pai who is the surviving child of the son of the tribal leader. Unfortunately Pai is female and not capable according to tradition of assuming a leadership role or tribe-reviving role in the community. In fact the grandfather considers Pai to be the cause of the decline (in so many ways) the community is suffering from. The story becomes one of old values and traditions refusing to yi...

No, this is not a headline from a tabloid magazine. A two-headed baby was born to a couple down in the Dominican Republic. The heads were not side by side but one on top of the other. It was an eerie sight to see the little baby drinking milk (as shown on CNN) from a baby bottle and another head on top of its head. Surgery was attempted to remove the other head, which did not seem to have a brain or wasn’t conscious (I don’t think the brain was shared with the other head either), although t...

What is all this hoopla about the exposed breast of Janet Jackson? It is absolutely ridiculous to make such a big deal out of a three second moment during the half time show of the Super Bowl. I missed the cherry topped chocolate ice cream scoop (rats!!!) but from what I read it only lasted a few seconds and many didn’t even realize there was an exposed mammary gland. With all the noise being made about this incident you’d think Janet pulled out both mounds and then stood in front of Justin’s fa...

As I have mentioned on other blog sites my favorite movie genre is science fiction. My like for science fiction films is followed next by horror/monster, historical dramas, comedy, adventure, suspense/thriller and then all the remaining genres. Of course these classifications are kind of subjective and films come in many combinations of these classifications. Science Fiction provides the best context to explore new universes (universe meaning the reality created by the storyteller). The abili...

The Oscar nominees are in and as usual I think many of the nominees should not have been nominated. Many of the films I have not seen. I will make it a point to see some of the films I have not seen either at the theater or on DVD. I will see Lost In Translation when it comes out on DVD. I’ve been hearing and reading things that say it is racist. The white Americans are shown as smart and sophisticated while the Japanese are reduced to cartoon like and loony characters. The Japanese charact...

I was going to call this blog entry the golden gerald award, but then I realized it was going to be more of a list of my favorite movies from last year. I have seen a few films last year that were very good. The best movie I saw last year was The Last Samurai (A grade). I feel this film met all the requirement for a film. The story was told through intelligent dialogue and, most importantly for a movie in my opinion, visually. The characters achieved depth not only through dialogue, but also...

I think it is time to delve into things sexual. You may find the things written about here funny, but then again you may not find it funny. Is that just like life or what? Sometime life is funny and sometime it is not. Go go bars come in various types. Some are pretty cheesy operations run on the cheap while others are well financed. Go go bars make most of their money by customers buying drinks and the women make a lot of their money from these same customers. The women usually snake the...

As President Bush was coming to the end of his State of the Union speech he started to touch on issues that made me feel like I was in some sort of Catholic or religious grade school. I thought I was dreaming when the President mentioned abstinence and writing into our Constitution the definition of marriage as between a man and woman. Of course I always wondered why the gay community seems to always insist that they get the same things heterosexual couples have. Marriage has its roots in rel...

Did you see the speech Dean made after the Iowa Caucus? It was funny. His face turned red and he barked about how he will go on to win the upcoming primaries. He ended the outburst with ‘yaaaaahhhhhh!!’ I can’t write any more. It was just too darn funny. I was waiting for him to go ‘arrgghhhh!!!!’ It was anything but gracious. It was a battle cry I guess to rally his campaign. Today I was trying to figure out why my computer was using ports 1900 and 137. I can’t do the troubleshooting I wo...

Well I have had time to use the joeuser.com website for a few days and have made some observations. The first thing I noticed was how formal it is. It is so formal that it is really not like blog site at all. You must have a title and subtitle to your post. You must define your blog using the subject space. It is not optional that you do these things as at livejournal. Livejournal has an optional subject line that a person can use but doe not have to. The postings seem to be pretty formal. T...

I’ve been blogging for over a year at one site or another and have noticed several things. Blogs are not always (this applies to websites in general) available throughout the world or even throughout the United States. There have been instances where my blog would be viewable in one state but not another (strange). Of course throughout the world governments are using various screening techniques like they are trying to do in China. Unfortunately this behavior is not only being used by the commun...

I decided to try the joeuser site because of the deteriorating conditions I was beginning to experience at the blog site blogger.com. Things really begain to get bad over there about a month ago. I do not know what is going on but I was experiencing things like morhing text. If you go to my former site at vivir.blogspot.com you might (sometime they correct the problem) see what I am talking about when I say morphing text and you will also see what I will be blogging about on this site. Mos...
